Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take?

This depends on whether liability is admitted for your accident. If liability is admitted then your claim will be settled more quickly than if liability is disputed. Whatever the circumstances of your accident we will fight to get your compensation as quickly as we can.

How much will it cost?

It will cost you absolutely nothing. If you win, your costs will be paid by your opponent’s insurers. If you lose before court proceedings are issued, you would pay nothing. If you lost after court proceedings were issued, an insurance policy that we would obtain on your behalf would cover any costs you were ordered to pay. We don’t enter into loans or credit agreements.

Will my claim have to go to court?

The vast majority of claims are settled without you having to go to court. Only properly qualified personal injury solicitors will know how to negotiate on your behalf to get you maximum compensation in the quickest possible time. In the unlikely event that a claim has to go to court our solicitors will be there holding your hand all the way.

How much will I win?

We are not able to value individual claims until we have a medical report, as it depends on the circumstances of your accident, what injuries you sustained and the prognosis for your recovery.

Compensation awards are made on the basis of what has been awarded in the past for accidents with similar circumstances. The typical awards listed are intended to be guidelines for the sorts of awards made, however, awards vary as it depends on whether you have other losses such as loss of earnings or other losses that can be claimed.

Does it matter where I live?

No, we can act for you wherever you live, as long as your accident happened in England or Wales. We can do everything we need to do by post or telephone. If you would rather we incur telephone charges when we need to speak with you please let us know as we will gladly arrange to call you at a time to suit you at our expense. If we need to see you this can be arranged. In the unlikely event that your claim doesn’t settle and needs to go to court, the claim will be heard at the court nearest your home.
